Driveway Interruption Notice Aspen Hill Drive, Amberwood Court, Auger Court, Arncliff Court & Airmont Court

E Construction will be repaving the road surface on your street effective August 7, 2020. Driveway access will be interrupted, this inconvenience will be kept to a minimum. It is anticipated that this interruption will last until August 18, 2020. If you are unable to enter your driveway due to construction, please park your vehicle on an adjacent side street in order to accommodate the construction activities. All parking signs and regulations must be obeyed when parking on adjacent streets.

We are working in close collaboration with emergency services to ensure your safety during the construction. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. We will restore all disturbed lawns and landscaping at the end of the project.

E Construction will be doing concrete work on your street effective August 12, 2020. Driveway access will be interrupted, this inconvenience will be kept to a minimum. It is anticipated that this interruption will last until August 24, 2020. If you are unable to enter your driveway due to construction, please park your vehicle on an adjacent side street in order to accommodate the construction activities. All parking signs and regulations must be obeyed when parking on adjacent streets.

We are working in close collaboration with emergency services to ensure your safety during the construction. Pedestrian access to your property will be maintained at all times. We will restore all disturbed lawns and landscaping at the end of the project.

Abasand Area

5 months

E. Construction and Knelsen Sand and Gravel Ltd will be returning to the neighbourhood to continue repair work on the streets listed above as part of the Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project. 

Crews are expected to start mobilizing as early as May 19th and it is anticipated that the work will be completed July 31, 2020. 

This year, the contractor will be doing the following: 

  • Removal of existing road surface
  • Installation of new curbs and sidewalks
  • Repave the road surface

Road Closure/Detour Information

 In order to complete the work in a safe manner, there will be lane and road restrictions in the construction zones. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. Driveway access will be kept open; however, access will be temporarily interrupted when paving is being done in front of your property. 

Garbage Pick-Up

Residents should continue to put their garbage out as per regular curbside schedule. If required, the contractor will remove bins to an appropriate location for pick up by the municipality. Please ensure that the bins are labelled with your address.

Noise and Vibration Monitoring

There will be noise and some vibration associated with the work. Knelsen Sand & Gravel Ltd is committed to following all municipal bylaws and regulations and will make every effort to minimize noise and vibrations during construction. We ask for your understanding and patience as work progresses. 

Work Hours

Work to take place from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday with after hours and weekend work as required.

Greenspace behind Arsenault Crescent, Adrian Crescent, Robinson Lane & Ryan Lane

The municipality will be restoring the greenspace and various Public Utility Lanes (PULs) in the neighbourhood. This work is part of the Greenspace Rehabilitation of the Wildfire affected Areas within the Urban Service Area Project. 

Crews are expected to start mobilizing as early as May 13th with work anticipated to be completed by October 15, 2020. 

The contractor will be doing the following:

  • Removal of debris from pathways
  • Grading to restore proper drainage patters
  • Trail Construction (gravel and asphalt)
  • Restoration of PULs to their original state
  • Installation of post and rail fencing where applicable
  • Replacement and cleaning of concrete drainage swales
  • Restoration of construction area with sod and/or other material where required

Road Closure/Detour Information

In order to complete the work in a safe manner, there will be lane and road restrictions in the construction zones. Access to the PULs adjacent to the streets shown on the map of the work area below will be restricted for the duration of the work. Driveway access will not be impacted.

Encroachment

Homeowners are responsible for removing any items placed on greenspaces. The municipality will not be responsible for damage to any privately-owned items on city property.

Noise Vibration Monitoring

You may experience dust, noise and some vibration associated with the work. The municipality will make every effort to reduce the impacts and ask for your understanding and patience as work progresses.

Work to take place from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday with after hours and weekend work as required

Abasand Pumphouse Upgrade

4 months


Chandos Construction Ltd., is scheduled to be in the Abasand Community June 15, 2020 to November 30, 2020 and will be working on upgrades to the Abasand Pumphouse. There will be no impact to residents.

Roads, Sidewalks, Curbs, Gutter and Utility Right of Ways

3 months

E. Construction will be returning to your neighbourhood to do road work on Abasand Drive and the connecting streets as part of the Fire Recovery Project. Please see map of work area below for details. Crews are expected to start mobilizing as early as July 20th and it is anticipated that the work will be completed September 15, 2020.

PARKING

Parking in the active work zone is prohibited due to space requirements for construction equipment and materials. If your parked vehicle affects the construction work, it will be moved with no charge to the owner. Should your vehicle be relocated, please call 780-743-3822 for its location.

GARBAGE PICK-UP

Residents should continue to put their garbage out as per regular curbside schedule. If required, the contractor will move bins to an appropriate location for pick up by the municipality. Please ensure that you label your bins with your address.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Traffic will be managed in the construction area for the safety of workers, road users and residents. Road users should expect delays and increased traffic on nearby main and side streets. Motorist and pedestrians are asked to obey all traffic signs and posted signs in the construction area as well as not cross/move concrete barriers. Traffic in the construction zone will be reduced to one lane only for the duration of the project.

WORK HOURS

Work to take place from 7:00am – 7:00pm, Monday – Friday with after hours and weekend work as required.
