Every year the Municipality undertakes dozens of construction projects that are aimed at improving and adding to infrastructure in the region.

While our response as a Municipality to COVID-19 is ongoing, we are also focused on continuing the necessary projects this construction season that will improve residents’ quality of life and keep our region running. The construction sector undertakes many significant and important projects in communities across Alberta, which is why the Provincial government deemed it an essential service.

The Municipality’s Contractor, Pipe Quest Projects Ltd will be in your neighborhood for the construction of the Gregoire Lake Estate to Anzac Force Main project. Crews are expected to start mobilizing as early as July 15, 2020 and it is anticipated that the work will be completed end of February 2022. There will be mobilization of heavy equipment getting on and off Highway 881. The force main is required to pump the sewage from Gregoire Lake Estate to the Anzac Wastewater Treatment facility after it is completed.

The project work includes installation of approximately 13KM of HDPE pipeline and the construction of seven access roads off Highway 881 as shown in the map below. The force main alignment is approximately 100 to 500 m south west of Hwy 881 and it runs from Gregoire Lake Estates to Anzac.

Access will be maintained to homes along the force main alignment, and residents will be notified of any interruptions ahead of time. Residence along the ROW may experience increased noise and traffic volume from construction.

NOISE AND VIBRATION MONITORING

There will be noise and some vibration associated with the work. Pipe Quest Projects Ltd is committed to following all municipal bylaws and regulations and will make every effort to minimize noise and vibrations during construction. We ask for your understanding and patience as work progresses.
