Temporary Water Service Notice

Gordon Avenue & Main Street

June 30, 2020

As part of  the Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation Program, E Construction, a Division of N.PA. Ltd  will be upgrading the underground watermains in your neighbourhood. In order to maintain your water service during construction residents in the construction zone will be placed on a temporary water service starting July 2, 2020.

ACCESS TO YOUR PROPERTY

E Construction will need access to the main water shut-off valve in your building to shut off the water and connect the temporary water service. This valve must remain off until the construction of the watermain is completed.  Please call the PULSE LINE to schedule an appointment to complete the hook up of the temporary service.  All Public Health Orders and guidelines put in place by Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer will be followed by the contractor during this process.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

During the course of the construction, it is recommended that you disconnect any water treatment systems (i.e. softeners or filters), water-cooled air conditioners or similar plumbing fixtures prior to hookup.  Automatic lawn sprinkler systems may also be affected therefore you may need to water your lawn manually.  The temporary water supply consists of an above-ground watermain, and will be fed from a fire hydrant on an adjacent live water circuit which will be connected to your property via your outdoor faucet so that you can water your lawn, plants etc.   Do not turn off this valve as this will shut off the water supply to your building.

AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY - TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE

Please do not hesitate to call the PULSE LINE should you have any issues and/or concerns with the temporary water service during the construction period.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this process as we work to improve our region.
