Update: October 25, 2023: Council made the following motion on October 24, 2023,

Council referred the item to Administration for further investigation on design concepts including size requirements and budgetary considerations.

The agenda package and presentation can be viewed at rmwb.ca/council. We look forward to further investigation into potential design and financial considerations so we can better assess the best path ahead for a skate park in Gregoire.

Background

Following a request from students from Greely Road School, the Municipality engaged with residents to better understand community interests. Recognizing neighbourhood needs will help the Municipality prioritize recommendations from the Parks Master Plan and plan future parks and open spaces.
