Kiyām Community Park is Officially Open

Construction is now complete, and Kiyām Community Park is officially open for year-round use and enjoyment. Located in downtown Fort McMurray at the corner of Franklin Ave. and Main St., the community came together on January 24, 2023, to raise flags and cut ribbon to celebrate the opening of the park.

Thank you to everyone who attended the official opening of Kiyām Community Park and to those who contributed feedback on the park design during the public engagement process. The final design is available for viewing here.

The project will address vacant land through the development of an inclusive community park that contributes to improved health and safety and beautification, while supporting ongoing investment and visualization of the downtown. Learn more about downtown Fort McMurray at rmwb.ca/downtown.
