Thank you to everyone who submitted names and voted for their shortlisted favourites to name our winter maintenance machines. In recognition of the many excellent names submitted, the number of winter maintenance vehicles assigned to display the names has been increased from six vehicles to seven.

These names will be installed on seven winter maintenance vehicles in the new year.

Winners will be contacted in the coming days, and will receive a $100 gift card to Home Hardware courtesy of Mix 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM .

Naming rules & guidelines

A big thank you to everyone who submitted names and participated in the first phase of the naming contest! A panel of Municipal staff and representatives from Mix 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM scored the names and created a shortlist of 12 names to be included in the public vote.

Name submissions were scored on connection to the region, creativity, and of course, humour.

If the same name was submitted multiple times, the person who submitted the name first will receive the prize. If the person cannot be reached, the prize will be awarded to the next person who submitted that name.
