The six names that receive the highest number of votes will be installed on selected winter maintenance equipment in December and then they’ll hit the streets for everyone to see! The winners will receive a $100 gift card to Home Hardware courtesy of Mix 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM .
The vote closes Dec. 6 and the winning names will be announced later in the month.
Naming rules & guidelines
A big thank you to everyone who submitted names and participated in the first phase of the naming contest! A panel of Municipal staff and representatives from Mix 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM scored the names and created a shortlist of 12 names to be included in the public vote.
Name submissions were scored on connection to the region, creativity, and of course, humour.
If the same name was submitted multiple times, the person who submitted the name first will receive the prize. If the person cannot be reached, the prize will be awarded to the next person who submitted that name.
