Update, September 27, 2022: Administration is providing the Planning and Development Process Review Final Report to Council as information on September 27.
Are you a resident who has recently applied to improve your property, or build a home? Have you recently applied for a business license, or are looking to invest in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB)? Are you a construction contractor, or tradesperson that operates in the RMWB? We are looking for feedback on real experiences, improvement opportunities, and recommendations to enhance the services provided by the Planning and Development Department.
The Planning and Development Department is conducting a review of services, applications and processes that are used by residents, businesses, and investors. Applications can be residential or business related, such as development permits (eg. sheds, buildings) inspections, or business licenses. The initiative is in line with the Government of Alberta’s priority of reducing red tape and assisting with provincial economic recovery from low oil prices and COVID-19.
Through this process, the Planning and Development Department will enhance the services it provides by improving customer service and reducing wait times and barriers to development. The RMWB’s goal and commitment is to better facilitate property improvement, investment, growth and economic recovery. Together we can build a better community.
