Consultation has concluded

Thank you for participating in the OHV Urban Master Plan Update engagements. Please stay turned for information on the council presentation regarding proposed updates.

Here is a summary of the results from the Public Survey.

The Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Master Plan for the Urban Service Area of Fort McMurray is being updated and feedback from the community, including non-OHV users, is needed! Please share your thoughts by taking the online survey below. While residents living in rural communities are certainly encouraged to take this survey, the questions and the Master Plan update are focused on the Urban Service Area.

Prior to this survey, targeted workshops were held with OHV groups and stakeholders, local right holders, regulating bodies, representatives from different levels of government and municipal staff. The feedback collected through these workshops has been used to help shape the public survey. The results from the survey and the workshops are being used to develop the update to the OHV Master Plan – Urban Service Area.

Please note, the OHV Master Plan does not include OHV Bylaws. However, the Master Plan may include recommendations to review or adjust the current OHV Bylaw for the Urban Service Area at a future date. A consulting firm is leading the update to the OHV Master Plan – Urban Service Area and an updated plan will be presented to RMWB Council this spring. If recommendations to update OHV Bylaws are being presented to Council, there will be a public hearing at a later date, with opportunities for residents to formally share their thoughts about any of the proposed changes.

In the Resource Library you will find a map of the Urban Service Area and the focus of this engagement. Along with the current OHV Master Plan and Bylaw.
